Portfolio
This post is a collection of pictures that I have taken for my Media Aesthetics course. Different pictures were meant to capture different elements of photography. Included are the different elements that were changed in order to create the picture. Enjoy what I believe to be some of my best works so far!
ISO: 100
Shutter Speed: 1/100
Aperture: 6.375
Focal Length: 30
The elements within his picture create linear perspective where natural lines are formed and typically draw the viewers attention to one area.
ISO: 3200
Shutter Speed: 1/25
Aperture: 8.652
Focal Length: 18
The concept is Z-Axis blocking where something sticks out in the foreground of a picture and disrupts the surroundings. This bench explains how the humans disrupt nature's beauty
ISO: 500
Shutter Speed: 1/30
Aperture:1.17
Focal Length: 5.7
This picture of Rose captures organic masking where natural borders are created by the walls. I also just like how she is resting her paws, makes her look serious.
ISO: 6400
Shutter Speed: 1/320
Aperture: 10
Focal Length: 44
This photo depicts contrast of the yellow sunflower from the green leaves and stems. The dead sunflowers in the background give even more life to the main flower.
ISO: 6400
Shutter Speed: 1/1600
Aperture: 5
Focal Length: 18
This photo was apart of a story that I created using only pictures where a student is hurrying and late to class. This overhead shot adds to the dramatic effect of the staircase ahead of the student.
ISO: 100
Shutter Speed: 1/200
Aperture: 4
Focal Length: 31
I like this picture because of the perspective in which it is taken from, my roommates are on the roof while I am shooting from the ground. It is a good color shot for a commercial or ad potentially. (Both are 21+)
ISO: 3200
Shutter Speed: 1/15
Aperture: 4.625
Focal Length: 29
This photo displays a cameo where the focus is on the subject and there is seemingly no background. Although the picture is unintentionally blurry, I think it adds motion to the picture as if there is something drawing the dog, Rusty, to the light.
ISO: 200
Shutter Speed: 1/60
Aperture: 7.375
Focal Length: 41
This photo cam from a series of shots where I practiced capturing the different types of exposure in a picture. This was the picture that I described as being properly exposed, it is also a pretty flower.
